“Kosovo’s independence also bears the big stamp of London,” Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said, the daily Koha Ditore is reporting.
The Pristina-based Albanian language newspaper said Thaci on Wednesday met with British Minister for Europe and the Americas Alan Duncan.
Duncan said that Britain “remains committed to the region, despite London’s relationship with Brussels,” Tanjug reported, citing the article, carried by UNMIK’s press review.
“We want a region that lives in peace and stability,” stressed Duncan.
Thaci “emphasized that Kosovo is a promoter of peace and dialogue in the region and works to build good neighborly relations with all, including Serbia.”
